Ultrasound Imaging Scientist/Engineer

The ultrasound imaging scientist/engineer will play a key role in image optimization and performance improvements of a state of the art medical ultrasound imaging system. The successful candidate will investigate and develop sophisticated real time signal and image processing algorithms. The person will participate in all aspects of an ultrasound imaging system's design, including transducer specification and characterization, beam formation and signal and image processing. The individual will devise and conduct experiments to analyze and understand system performance in depth.

Desired skills and experience:

• PhD in related discipline (EE, Applied Physics)
• MS with 5 year work experience
• Exceptionally good knowledge of analog and digital signal processing
• Strong experimental skills including design and statistical analysis
• Experience in ultrasound imaging
• Good knowledge of Matlab
• Excellent verbal and written skills

Optional skills:

• C/C++ programing
